In the final moments of the match, Williams struck with a powerful knee, sending Page into the ropes and setting up a pinfall, reminiscent of their previous encounter at “NXT Heatwave.” Both competitors were visibly exhausted as Punk assisted them to their feet. Adding insult to injury, Punk hit Page with a GTS, while Williams celebrated his victory with his newly redesigned NXT Championship.
With this win, Williams begins his second reign as NXT Champion, while Page’s 86-day title reign came to an end.
In other action from the show, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez retained her title with some unexpected help from a returning Cora Jade, who attacked Giulia with a DDT at ringside while the referee was distracted. Additionally, former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee claimed a hard-fought victory, surviving a brutal Street Fight against his former ally, Zachary Wentz.
