The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff Hardy, began their wrestling journeys in 1993 as teenagers, honing their skills through backyard wrestling promotions. Over the years, they have built a significant fan following, connecting with many who grew up watching their matches. In a recent appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” Matt discussed their status as generational talents, recalling instances where fathers would approach them with their children, sharing stories about how they watched The Hardy Boyz during their own childhood.
“People just sometimes want to talk and share their story—whatever it is—and how it changed their life or molded them in some way or capacity, and we like to listen to them,” Matt explained.
The wrestling veterans expressed their appreciation for fans who sport Hardy Boyz tattoos, viewing it as the highest compliment. Jeff added that he takes pride in Matt’s patience during fan meetups, which enhances the positive atmosphere they share with their supporters. Although the Hardy brothers are currently free agents, having recently competed in TNA, it’s uncertain whether they will sign with the promotion or wait for an opportunity to return to WWE. Nevertheless, their passion for wrestling and their connection with fans remain as strong as ever.
