Nearly a month has passed since Bryan Danielson’s victory over Swerve Strickland at AEW All In, where he claimed his first AEW World Championship after joining the company in 2021. “The American Dragon” called the match the best moment of his career, with his kids watching from the front row.
However, the match had some intense moments, with Danielson bleeding heavily. According to his wife Brie Bella on “The Nikki & Brie Show,” their kids had a different take on what was happening.
“Birdie cried when she got yelled at, and seeing Bryan bleeding was hard. But my kids thought it was ketchup. To this day, they believe he squeezed ketchup on his head. I had to whisper to Birdie during the match, ‘Baby, this is fake. They’re acting.’ Buddy, on the other hand, found it funny. I kept hoping the camera wouldn’t catch him laughing at people getting kicked and hit.” Bella went on to explain that both Birdie and Buddy view Danielson as their hero, and she believes her husband deserves the AEW World Champion title more than anyone in wrestling.
