WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently shared insights into Zilla Fatu’s future and his commitment to helping the young wrestler reach new heights.
Fatu, the son of the late Umaga and a member of the esteemed Anoaʻi family, was recently released by Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), leaving uncertainty around his professional wrestling career. As Fatu’s trainer at his Reality of Wrestling promotion, Booker T addressed the challenges his pupil is facing and outlined his plan to guide the 25-year-old forward. He stressed that setbacks are often necessary for growth in the wrestling business and discussed what could lie ahead for Fatu.
“Zilla had an incident with GCW — I’m not sure about the full details. One side says one thing, the other side says another. My focus is on Reality of Wrestling, and I’m determined to help Zilla, because he’s got the talent, get to the next level. For me, the next level for Zilla is WWE. That’s his landing zone. That’s his safe zone, with his family,” Booker T explained during his “Hall of Fame” podcast.
He emphasized the importance of guidance for young talents like Fatu, who may make poor decisions early in their careers. Booker praised Fatu’s abilities and reiterated his dedication to preparing him for a future in WWE, describing his promotion as Fatu’s “safe zone.”
“Reality of Wrestling is Zilla Fatu’s safe zone because, in this business, you have to navigate through a lot of different personalities and learn who to trust. At Reality of Wrestling, he’s at home,” Booker concluded.
